Concept Case Study- EA FC
Client: Personal Project 2025
Type: 3D
Software: Cinema 4D, Redshift, After Effect
Role: Solo Project - 2D&3D Motion , Compositing
This project was inspired after playing FC (Football Club). I really liked the visuals the game provides, so I decided to create my own take on a card reveal animation. In my version, the players pass the ball around before finally taking a shot — mirroring the flow of gameplay and building up to the reveal moment.
For this project, I began by studying a variety of references, including card designs, stage layouts, and the overall stadium atmosphere, which helped me shape both the aesthetic direction and the mood I wanted to capture. Rather than focusing on producing a clean, game-like render, my intention was to create something that felt more cinematic and emotionally engaging. To achieve this, I built a sequence where players pass the ball around the field, gradually building anticipation before taking the final shot that transitions into the card reveal.
To start, I explored different 3D assets that I could reassemble, by doing this I can quickly test what I can do for the environment, then, I set up the camera early in the process to understand what would be visible in the scene and to map out the flow of the animation.

For the final render, I used a multipass setup to gain more flexibility during the compositing stage. I broke the project down into nine separate layers—including elements like the card, player, stage, and soccer ball—that I considered most important. This approach gave me maximum control over brightness and color adjustments, and even allowed me to isolate specific layers to add effects like glow or to darken them when needed. This working process helps me avoid re-rendering whenever I’m not fully satisfied with something, and it’s a method I rely on for most of my projects,
